The Ethereum entry queue stood at 2,213,402 ETH on August 24, 2026, a figure that translates to roughly 38 days and 10 hours before new validators can activate.

Validatorqueue.com reported the exit queue at just 352 ETH, equal to about nine minutes of processing time. Active validators numbered 902,653 while total staked ETH reached 42.3 million, or 34.71 percent of supply.

Prior Week Snapshot

A CryptoTicker survey from August 17 recorded 2,229,411 ETH in the deposit queue across 37,498 deposits and only 64 ETH in the exit queue. Daily throughput remains 57,600 ETH, so any material slowdown in new deposits would shorten the current wait from the snapshot level of 38.7 days.

Price Context

ETH traded at 2,473.62 dollars that session, up 1.16 percent over 24 hours according to CoinGecko. Bitcoin stood near 79,186 dollars, also higher on the day. The modest advance in ETH occurred alongside the large entry backlog and the near-empty exit line.

Community Discussion

When the entry wait stretches to weeks while exits clear in minutes, Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) highlighted the 38-day entry figure on the Doginal Dogs Space and noted the empty exit queue.

Throughput Math

Each epoch processes 256 ETH of validator activity. At 225 epochs per day the network clears 57,600 ETH. With no surge in fresh deposits the present queue would clear inside the stated window.

The data remain a live observation drawn from validatorqueue.com rather than a signal of any protocol change. The entry queue has fluctuated in recent weeks yet the exit side has stayed minimal, keeping activation times stable for those already in line.

Validator Count Steady

The active set of 902,653 validators has grown gradually as earlier deposits clear. Staked supply at 42.3 million ETH continues to represent more than one third of total issuance, a level that has held without sharp weekly swings.

Market participants track these queue figures for clues on net staking demand. A sustained large entry line alongside a thin exit line points to steady but not explosive interest in becoming a validator.

The August 24 numbers line up with the prior week’s deposit volume, suggesting the backlog may remain elevated for several more weeks unless fresh deposits slow.
